Listing Rulebook

For teams that run an app marketplace

Listing RulebookWrite listing rules a submitter can fail against before submitting - so every reviewer rejects the same listings.

Paste your draft listing rules and one sample listing. Your browser reads every rule as objective or principles-only, checks one geometry per visual asset, a hard category cap, decay triggers with an owner and a consequence and badge currency rules, ranks the strictness, media, taxonomy, localization, badge and decay rungs from your answers, and lints the listing for the trademark naming order, keyword spam by count, unattributed testimonials, guarantees, a PDF or repository landing page, screenshot geometry and the category cap. Then the published rulebook, and a review of the listing.

How it works - and what is sourced

The gates follow the skill: every required field carries an objective reject criterion a submitter can self-check (a number, a named trigger or a yes/no condition - a rule built on words like "compelling", "clear" or "high-quality" with nothing behind them reads as principles only); exactly one published geometry per visual asset, since no industry-standard screenshot geometry exists; a hard per-listing category cap, one or two as benchmarked; a decay trigger with an owner and a consequence; a display location and a currency rule for every badge, or no badge program at all, which is legitimate. No external body certifies listing quality, so a claim of one fails.

The listing lint applies your own limits plus the named triggers: the platform's name before the app's (accepted: "App for Platform"), any term repeated past your count, a quoted testimonial with no named source, guarantee claims, a landing page that is missing, a PDF or a code repository, no support channel or response commitment, no privacy policy, screenshots off your geometry or count, a video past your ceiling, categories past your cap. Whether a description leads with the outcome or the mechanism, and misrepresentation, are judgments the review lane makes. The rungs follow the skill's ranking, moved by who maintains listings, who evaluates them, volume, releases, languages, badges, deadline, mandate, effort and the assets you already own.
